The following are the experiences of some celebrities who have been diagnosed or reported with this disease (endometriosis).

Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with endometriosis.

For starters, what is Endometriosis and which celebrities are so far reported with it? Endometriosis is usually characterized by the growth of tissue outside the uterus in the cervix, ovaries, fallopian tubes, or anywhere else in the pelvis.

During each menstrual period, there is severe abdominal and pelvic muscle cramps and severe menstrual bleeding. Unfortunately, this disease is often dismissed as PMS. It is estimated that about 11% of women in the United States have endometriosis, including some celebrities.

Some of these world-famous women have talked about their personal experience with endometriosis, which they believe will raise awareness about this medical condition.

The following are the experiences of some celebrities who have been diagnosed or reported with this disease (with endometriosis).

#1. Susan Sarandon

Susan Sarandon is one of the celebrities who was diagnosed with endometriosis. She was diagnosed in 1983. Despite the increased infertility rate that comes with this disease, she gave birth to three children.

At Blossom Ball in 2011 she said: “Even if we were raised that way, it’s not a woman’s suffering. Suffering should not define you as a woman. Just because you are a man does not mean it will not affect you.

#2. Whoopi Goldberg

Whoopi Goldberg was diagnosed with the disease a long time ago. She has dedicated herself to raising awareness about this disease. “I’ve never had women know about this!” He said in 2009, at the Endo Foundation Blossom Ball.

#3. Padma Lakshmi

Another one of the celebrities with endometriosis is Padma Lakshmi. She was first diagnosed with endometriosis at the age of 36. She (Padma) even once said that this disease may be the reason for her divorce from Salman Rushie. She is a co-founder of the American Endometriosis Foundation .

#4. Lena Dunham

Lena Dunham is another celebrity with endometriosis. She wrote about her condition in 2014 in her memoir Not That Kind of Girl, which describes her experience and pain due to endometriosis. She was once admitted to the hospital with a ruptured ovarian cyst.

#5. Halsey

The new American singer, though still young, has endometriosis. She recently tweeted about her battle with endometriosis. She posted: “Emo moment, but if any of you suffer from endometriosis, know that you are not alone. I know how painful it is and how discouraging the disease is.”

#6. Tia Mowry-Hardrict

Due to the disease, it was very difficult for Tia Mowry-Hardrict to conceive. She had to have two surgeries and change her lifestyle. Fortunately, she was able to give birth to her son Cree. She said the one-time diagnosis was beyond her control.

#7. Julianne Hough

Julianne Hough is another celebrity with endometriosis. In 2008, she underwent laparoscopic surgery. “I know more than anything about being a mom and wanting to have children. It’s very important to me,” she said. Prior to that, she had suffered from the disease for five years.

#8. Jillian Michaels

Although she is the mother of two, an adopted daughter from Haiti and a son carried by her partner, Jillian can never give birth due to endometriosis. She was diagnosed at the age of 28.

#9. Meg Cabot

“It came as a shock because I did not even know I had endometriosis. As a cyberchondria, I did not know I had a disease for twenty — eight years, and I did not even know it. That’s right.” She discovered that she had endometriosis.

#10. Dolly Parton

Dolly Parton was having a hard time dealing with her problem and in 1982 discovered that she could never have children. She also suffered from depression. “This is a bad time for me,” She said.

#11. Jaime King

Jaime King, although the mother of two, was initially diagnosed with endometriosis. The actress once said: “It’s interesting because no one really talks about endometriosis or PCOS, but many women struggle with it.”

#12. Emma Bunton

By age 25, Emma Bunton was diagnosed with endometriosis. Fortunately, despite the disease, she was able to give birth to two sons, Beau and Tate, born in 2007 and 2011, respectively. She once said that this diagnosis was life-threatening for her.

#13. Marilyn Monroe

Marilyn Monroe is one of the celebrities with never-ending endometriosis. However, she became pregnant twice, but unfortunately, all her pregnancies ended in miscarriage. She adored the children.

#14. Mel Grieg

At the age of 17, Mel Grieg, a former radio presenter, was diagnosed with endometriosis. She has repeatedly spoken publicly about her horrific battle with endometriosis and the pain she feels with each menstrual cycle.

#15. Emily Robinson

Emily Robinson , one of the founding members of the Dixie Chicks group, was initially diagnosed with endometriosis because she could not conceive. Fortunately, with the help of IVF, she gave birth to her son Augustus Charles in 2002 and then twins Henry Benjamin and Juliana Tex were born in 2005.

#16. Hillary Clinton

Hillary Rodham Clinton is an American politician, diplomat, lawyer, writer and public speaker who served as the 67th Secretary of State of the United States from 2009 to 2013, and as the first U.S. Senator and First Lady from 2001 to 2009. Of the United States from 1993 to 2001.

Hillary Clinton was diagnosed with endometriosis. She had a hard time giving birth to her only child, daughter Chelsea .
